Twyford station is part of the newly formed Elizabeth line tube link to London that is maintained by TFL allowing commuters access to central London in 40 minutes. It also has good links to the M4 junction 10 which is 4 miles and M40 junction 4, at High Wycombe, which is 12 miles.
Twyford’s location in Berkshire is perfect for commuting to Reading to the west with its numerous leisure activities and the large Oracle shopping centre (6 miles) and Maidenhead to the east is 9 miles away, both are easily accessible by bus and train links. The historic town of Windsor is a short 25 minute drive (12 miles), with the Thames towns of Henley (6 miles) and Marlow (9 miles) in easy reach.
Twyford Village has a little bit of everything, there are several pubs and restaurants serving a range of culinary options from around the world, as well as high street branded and independent coffee offerings. The world-famous Fat Duck restaurant is a few miles away in Bray as is the Michelin starred Hinds Head.
Also on the door strep is the Waggon and Horses and Royal Oak for traditional pub food, Mita’s and Haweli for Asian dishes or La Fontanta if you fancy something Mediterranean – all of which have excellent 4.5/5 ratings on Tripadvisor.
There’s a vineyard on the doorstep at Stanlake Park and a multi-screen cinema in Winnersh which is a short drive.
Your weekly shop is covered, as there is a good-sized Waitrose in the village centre. There is also a barber, fresh bakery, pharmacy, florist and Tesco Express on the high street.
Polehampton CoE and Waltham St Lawrence primary schools are in the local catchment, both of which have been awarded as being outstanding by OFSTED, as well as Colleton Primary and St Nicholas CoE, both of which have a Good rating.
Waingels Copse and The Piggot secondary schools are also both within the catchment and also have a Good rating from OFSTED.
If you have a more sporty nature, Twyford sports centre offers plenty of activities. Twyford also hosts some great local sports clubs and teams, including Twyford snooker club, Twyford and Ruscombe cricket club, Sonning hockey club, RAMS rugby club and a number of local football clubs too. Sonning, Castle Royal and Bearwood golf courses are also nearby.
